Hage and Hage Law Firm
Designing and building innovative, custom cabinetry is the bread and butter of CabFab’s business. Every once in a while, however, a project comes along that stands out among the crowd.
Building cabinets and more for the Hage & Hage Law building renovation in downtown Utica was one of those rare projects. Purchased in 2006, after an eminent domain order forced JK Hage out of his three office buildings, this massive mid-century bank building had been abandoned and was just waiting for a new owner like JK Hage to come along. Recognizing a diamond in the rough, and the fact that 18,000 square feet of space would be enormously expensive to heat and cool, Hage spent a year thinking about and researching architectural and sustainable energy options. Hage wanted to maximize his investment while creating a unique and personal space that would continue to set his practice apart.
Along the way, he engaged CabFab to create cabinetry for the many (we aren’t kidding when we say many) spaces that required functional, beautiful storage solutions. The design/build team at CabFab worked throughout the building, from office spaces to kitchens to a one of a kind wine cellar to custom designed work tables for the exercise room. Really cool stuff we loved working on.
